Dispossessions 2

Dispossessions 2 represents a new direction for me - constructing a landform piece by piece and placing the pieces into little boxes in such a way as to 'build' a landscape that simultaneously explores the dialectical tension between the whole and the part. My travels in central Australia informed the aesthetic of a red, sandy semi-desert - an area that remains 'other' to many australians. It also speaks to commodification and ownership of landscape.
